There was a small surprise when eighth rankedSoles (4-6) beat 6th ranked Indios (4-5) in Santo Domingo 81-75 on Sunday. Soles dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Indios ' 30. American guard Tristan Jarrett (193-1998, college: Jackson St., agency: Sport Avenir) nailed 20 points for the winning side and naturalized American Fausto Pichardo (203-1995, college: Alabama St.) accounted for 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Soles players scored in double figures. Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and Panamanian guard Luis Rodriguez (198-1999, college: UNLV) added 20 points respectively for Indios in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Soles . They maintain eighth place with 4-6 record. Loser Indios keep the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Leones.
